Areas at Risk of Inland Waterlogging
Contains areas identified in the MePAR as being at risk of inland waterlogging.
What does it contain?
The Land Parcel Identification System (MePAR) is a nationwide GIS system serving as the basis for area-based agricultural subsidies. It provides a standardized framework for the identification, delineation and attribute data of agricultural land parcels (MePAR blocks). The inland waterlogging risk layer identifies, within the thematic water protection requirements of the zonally delineated AKG areas, agricultural parcels eligible for support as “waterlogging-sensitive arable land” or “waterlogging-sensitive grassland”. Within these areas, farmers must pay particular attention to compliance with specific agrotechnical requirements, such as restrictions on tillage and crop rotation.
