Toponymic Database
An updated digital collection of Hungary’s geographical names and related geospatial data, developed on the basis of the Geographical Names Database.
What does it contain?
The dataset contains geographical names classified into nearly 60 different categories. It includes official administrative names, settlement names, names of settlement parts, settlement names in minority languages, hydrographic names, landform and regional names, names of national parks and landscape protection areas, names of major bridges, as well as numerous other geographical designations, including the names of castles, churches, and airports.
For each geographical name, the database provides its type, linguistic status, source, EOV coordinates of the associated feature, and administrative location.
