A harmonised 100 m raster time-series database integrating the CLC and CLC change layers.

What does it contain?

The CLC Accounting layer is a database designed for a statistically consistent analysis of land cover change. The accounting layers combine the CLC status and change layers from 1990 to 2024 into a harmonised raster database with a spatial resolution of 100 m. This approach eliminates methodological and spatial inconsistencies between individual survey years, making data from different periods statistically comparable. The 100 m resolution is a technical resolution only, the database is based on the original CLC data, which have a minimum mapping unit of 25 ha for status layers and 5 ha for change layers.
